Kanvashram is a glorious spot where Rishi (Sage) Vishwamitra and Rishi Kanva examined for a long time. The ashram is arranged on the banks of Malini River included by thick forest areas and slants. As indicated by legend, Rishi Vishwamitra did outrageous reflection and fulfilled the Gods. 

This made Indra (King of Gods) very fearful and he sent the Apsara (Damsel) Menka to redirect the Rishi. They had a young lady, Shakuntala. She was left in the Ashram being dealt with by Rishi Kanva. The ashram is named after him. The Ashram moreover gives accommodation workplaces.

Bhairav Baba is the Ishta Devta of the villagers of sundroli . The temple is build at the height of 5000 ft from the sea level . The temple has its own scenery it is covered by the mountains of garhwal valley.

According to the villagers there is very interesting story behind the temple " 

It is said that when people used to plow in any village, and after 12 o'clock they used to tie the bull on the plow, then Bhairav Baba used to make a sound from above, take the bulls open".
